Cairo Demo Day
A yellow gate, a stage under the museum's glass roof, and twelve startups with a few minutes each to make their case. We drew it, built it, ran it and filmed it.

Demo days and startup events
By the time this demo day came round, Flat6Labs had already trusted us with more than a hundred projects over four years. They knew our people by name, and we knew what a good day looks like for them: founders who feel ready, investors who stay in their seats, and a room that looks like the drawing they signed off.
The Grand Egyptian Museum is a landmark first and a venue second. The entrance, the stage, the screens, the seating and the cameras all had to fit inside it, work together for one live day, and leave the space exactly as we found it.
Drawn, then built
The drawing. The hall at 5 pm, chairs in rows and nobody in them yet. The same hall a few hours later, full.
The build
We designed the gate, the stage and the branding in 3D first, then built all three, ran the screens, sound and lighting on the day, and covered the day in photo and video. The same team that drew it stood in the room while it happened.
On the day
On 15 February 2023, the founders of twelve startups from Flat6Labs' 18th and 19th Cairo cycles took this stage to show investors and guests what they had built. The day was part of a relationship of more than four years and 100+ projects.
